Laura M. Gonçalves is an accomplished Director / DP in New York City and Los Angeles. Her keen eye and storytelling skills have landed her exhibitions at MoMA PS1, The Museum of Contemporary Art, the Saatchi and Saatchi Showcase at Cannes Lions, and the New Frontiers Showcase at Sundance. Melody’s work for Whole Foods won her two James Beard awards in 2013 and a nomination in 2016. Laura directed Canon’s campaign TREASURE HUNT, which won a Platinum Hermes Award and five Telly’s for Retail, Directing, Cinematography, B2C, and the People’s Telly Award.

As a Cinematographer, she has worked on campaigns for Guinness, Google, Best Buy, Buick, Gatorade, Michelob, Blue Moon, Callaway and she won a Clio in 2016 for the Taylor Made WAITING FOR GOLF campaign. She also shoots music videos for A-listers like Björk, Sigur Rós, and Atoms for Peace. Recently Laura shot an interactive album cover and VR experience for Björk’s latest album, VULNICURA.  As a proven pioneer in the industry, her work has been featured across many publications including American Cinematographer, Videography Magazine and Digital Cinematography.
